Haircut

So ... I know this may not have a LOT to do with mom and dad .... but since there haven't been any new posts and Liam is their grandson, I figured I could post this new poll here:

OK, when should we cut Liam's hair? It's getting kinda crazy. Mom and Dad, when did you first cut MY crazy hair when I was an infant (I know you did it at birth, but after that) ???

Here are some pictures for you to consider:

You Sure?

Contrary to the voting results, I think these pictures prove otherwise...

"Liam, you and I...Rematch in 3 months!"

Pretty sure Liam won!

So ... after 21 votes, Liam ended up with 11 "fat" votes, Truan got a respectable 6 and we're pretty sure Olivia cheated by getting 4 "fat" votes. Anyway ... the fattest baby contest goes to ...... LIAM!!!!

Mom and I wish to give one of you the kitchenware above. The big frying pan (upper left) is 10 in. across. In the lower right is a saucepan. Above that is another partially hidden saucepan. The above one is 7 in. across. First one to ask via e-mail gets them. By the way, the covers don't fit anything.

Mom and I found the above backpack, purse and wallet. Will the owner please e-mail us and we will send them to you.

Old Box of Photos

So ... mom and dad sent me the very last box they had of mine in their garage. The box said "Francesca's old notes, letters and pictures and dried flowers" ... Daniel groaned when he saw it come in the mail and asked "Are we going to have to keep all of this old junk?" I ofcourse said we'd have to keep all of it (I am an unabashed pack rat).

As I started going through stuff it brought back so many wonderful memories!! But one of the best memories was this one package of photos marked "Grandpa's Birthday". I'm not in any pictures. I think it's because I was taking all of the pictures. It was so fun to open the package and be reminded of Grandpa, smiling and blowing out candles in our dining room in California. For some reason, Grandpa looks older in these pictures than he does in my own mind. I always picture him so young and capable and happy. Thought I'd share ...

A Father's Dream

Growing up it was Dad's dream to someday own a red Corvette. Well, on June 12, 2008, the anniversary of Dad being a father for 30 years, his wish was granted. Dad is now the proud owner of a 2003 50th anniversary addition in anniversary red. Dad says the reason that he has the Corvette is because of his girls, he wouldn't have worked so hard to get where he is and make the money that he has made without the motivation of his five expensive girls at home. It seemed fitting that he got his Corvette on the anniversary of being a father for 30 years. All of us girls are so excited for Dad and feel that it couldn't go to a more deserving person. Here are some pictures of the Corvette.
"This is me getting into the Corvette for the first drive in Dallas, TX - Corvettes of Dallas on Thursday, June 12 (Bethany's B-Day) (Yes, I did remember to call)."

"Eddie McBeen selling me the Corvette."

"The Corvette at a rest stop in Arizona."
Dad thought it would be really cool to put "2DADDIO" for his license plate, but unfortunately that and everything close to that is taken, does anyone else have some good ideas for the license plate?

Grandchildren

A new beginning ... and our favorite child

Well, here we go into the wild, blue yonder of blogging ...

And here are the rules of our blog:

1. We know we are lame bloggers.
2. We will be giving our username and password out to each of our daughters.
3. Anyone in the immediate family is allowed to post on this blog, as long as the entry involves Daddio and Marmee in some way (either through pictures, info, recent visits, recent conversations, etc.)
4. Have at it people.
5. Francesca and Christina are the coolest bloggers and should be given most of the credit for any coolness found within this blog.
6. Any questions, refer to rule 1 or 5.

For more recent news: It was clear in the first line of our last email out to our children this past week who our favorite child really is ... and I quote:

"The Prices are here. As much as Marcia and I enjoy Jonathan and Bethany (and we really do) there is nothing to match our love for Francesca and her family. There is also our love for Dominic's imagination, Taylor "Butterball" Price and Olivia "Ya Ya Junior". Love, daddio"

Wow, that says it all ...
